How we build each dataset

The work starts with a question and the URLs of the pages that should answer it. We read each one and record the figure exactly as the page puts it, with the link and the date of the read.

Every candidate sentence is accepted or rejected by a reviewer, who writes down why. Each source then counts once in the median and range, or once for each breakdown it prices. Pages that state nothing are listed as silent, not estimated, and each dataset is read again on schedule so changes show up.

Which record types each corporate records buyer takes

8 of 11 buyers and boards taking company records whose own pages we read say personal data is removed or de-identified before use, read 8 October 2026.

Takes email and chat, by door: names email or chat among the records it takes 8 of 11, not stated 3 of 11 (11 doors, read 8 October 2026).
